One of my very favorite things is being able to grow with the families I photograph. I adore all the families I get to work with but really enjoy getting fun updates and the chance to reconnect with many of the moms over the course of a year.
The Parenthood Collection allows families to document their babies as they grow….and as parents grow! Sooooo much changes especially in that first year of welcoming a baby and I’m not just talking about the milestones your baby excitingly hits along the way; which of course is incredible but it goes way deeper in my eyes!
I first met Caitlin when she and her loving husband Russ were expecting their first baby. The three of us met along the Connecticut shoreline months before sweet Abigail arrived to photograph their maternity session.
Fast forward a full year and we caught up again to plan their First Year session while I was pregnant with our first born. We chatted all things motherhood, she helped me with some open and honest mama advice which truly helped me especially in those first months of welcoming our son Joseph.
I couldn’t WAIT to see and hug them again (the sweetest couple ever!) and to especially meet their beautiful girl in person to help celebrate and preserve their first year as a family of three! To be able to see Caitlin and Russ as parents was incredible, caring, loving and nurturing as could be. A beautiful family with so much love to give their sweet girl.
Their session took place at The Burr Mansion Estate in Fairfield, CT which they had their engagement pictures taken. A special place of meaning to honor their first year of parenthood. :). That’s what I call growth! xo
