Website Launch Day! | Time to Celebrate!

It’s here!!!!  Launch Day, we are LIVE friends! That’s my TV background talking.  I really wanted to do a countdown video but Justin talked me out of it, oh well.  So instead I will write it…”and we’re live in 5, 4, 3, 2…ONE”!!

Over two years of wishing for an online home and a more personable blog space to share my work, heart, life experiences, and dose of inspiration has finally arrived! It’s been years of wanting and over three solid months of building my own website from scratch, hours poured into making sure every last detail was in place so that our hearts had a chance to connect here for the first time.

I could write for hours about this process and how challenging it has been at times for this non-techy lady but I can honestly say that being able to sit here today looking at my website that I designed, created, and built on my own, absolutely with the help of so many amazing people, is very exciting and rewarding!

I have been calling this website building project my labor of love because there have been SO many incredible people who have helped me behind the scenes and there is NO WAY any of this would be happening without them by my side!

Dear Tiffany Farley– My Creative Director / Executive Producer :).  Thank you for your endless amount of encouragement, advice, ideas, honesty, suggestions, thoughtful check-ins, Skype sessions, caring about this project like it was your own.  For the hours sitting over our dark roasts shadowing each other, helping me navigate this new world of website building.  Being a true friend, an incredible mentor and artist who I admire so very much.  Thank you for being there on the stormiest of days last May holding an umbrella while somehow shooting one-handed to take the portrait images for my website, for the gorgeous portrait images that speak to my heart and hold so much meaning.  Thank you for believing in me, giving me confidence in myself as an artist and for providing so much clarity in the direction of my brand.  I would not be where I am today without you by my side.

Dear Hannah Brencher– Thank you for taking years of my writings and pulling it all together on two of the most important pages that fill my website, for listening to my heart, and for conveying so beautifully the depth and importance my work is to me and the families I have the honor of photographing.

Dear Sarah of Love & Lemons Creative– Thank you for your care in designing my beautiful, hand-scripted logo which captures my personality and the feeling behind my vision so perfectly.  Sarah’s calligraphy work is classic and sophisticated which I fell in love with most when looking for artists to design my new logo.

Dear loving Family & Friends– Thank you for your constant love, excitement, patience, late-night formatting checks, and understanding throughout this website building process!  Without your support, I would not be able to sit here to write that this day has arrived!  Thank you for your comments, shares, and for caring so deeply about me and the success of my business, I celebrate you all daily!

I saved the best for last….

Dear Justin– My love, my darling, my one and only. You my love have sat with me for over three solid months, every night and every weekend, building, navigating, decoding, coding, moving text, dealing with spacing and plugins.  You have given me so much of your free time, your downtime to make sure this labor of love was exactly right.  Never a complaint, never a mean word.  Always helping with sincere kindness and care.  You constantly show me that we are a team in this life and making you proud is my greatest accomplishment.  We did it!  Launch day is here!

Last week’s Meaningful Giveaways were so much fun!  Thank you so much to those who participated.  The giveaways are focused on the three words I value in the relationships in my life and are always guiding me in the photographs I create for families.  Day 1 was cherishing those we love most, Day 2 was honoring each other and time off together, and today, Day 3, is appreciating all those who lift us up and inspire us to be better versions of ourselves.  I love and appreciate all of you so very much!
