When I first met this loving family last October, I remember driving away from our session feeling like I had known them forever. They are the kindest family, so down-to-earth, and I loved our time together so very much. Little did I know, as we laughed about it during their newborn session, that they had just received the exciting news that they were expecting their third love. What a great story to tell when they look back at those photographs together. Some of the many things I admire about them is how they value documenting their family as their children grow and believe in preserving this time to remember for generations to come.
Meet Maciej and Jenn. This busy mother also has a lifestyle blog, Biscuits in the Oven, where she shares a ton of helpful motherhood and wellness tips based on her own experiences and research now with three babies. Maciej, the family photographer and video editor. His passion for storytelling is an art form and he creatively documents their family’s life story through albums, photographs, and videos for their children’s milestones. This is his side hobby and passion and the production value is remarkable, such a talent.
Announcing Baby #3…
A few days after Christmas they shared a special video from their Christmas morning with a little surprise gift at the end, a third baby was on its way! And I am not ashamed to admit that I teared up watching their sweet announcement video and eagerly anticipated the arrival of a baby sister or brother for Ellery and Everett in the summer!
When I received word from Jenn that she wanted to set up a newborn session, I was so excited and counted down the days to see them all again, looking forward to preserving this time as their family was growing from four to five!
Arriving to their house on the day of our session, we caught up and comfortably settled in before starting. What an incredible team Maciej and Jenn make, not only are they a loving couple, but they seriously make having three children ages 3.5, 19 months, and one week look easy!
I walked around their beautiful home to see where we should start, looking for the best natural window light. When I saw baby Edie’s sweet nursery, I instantly fell in love. It was decorated with the most lush neutrals, creams, and was so soft and clean. A simple nursery with a few special touches. It was a photographers dream with the most incredible natural light pouring in from the outside and was the perfect backdrop for their session.
It was an honor to document their growing family again, now as a beautiful family of five. Here are some favorites from their in-home newborn portrait session.
