On my flight down to Atlanta to The Fount Collective Workshop last month, I pulled out my brand new journal and while listening to my flying playlist (a playlist I created for previous work travels), I remembered how much I get lost in my own thoughts or simply reflecting during flights. Even though I always pack a few magazines and a book in my carry on, I never seem to crack them open. Listening to music and reflecting always seems to be more my thing. Journaling during a flight is something I hadn’t done in years, so I quickly felt inspired while sitting in my window seat and wrote…

“I’m sitting on my flight to Atlanta to embark on a new adventure, a wonderful opportunity to meet and dive in to the depth of what I long and aspire to create for my families, moments that speak to the heart. All I’ve ever wanted to do was capture the true essence and connections of others, it constantly inspires me in my work. Not too long ago, I was dreaming of the days where I could attend a workshop of this caliber, where the style and conversations were exactly what I envisioned for my own work. Not too long ago, I was scrolling my social media feeds sitting at my desk, staring out the window inspired and somewhat envious seeing other photographers and creatives living out their callings and doing what they loved. And now here I am, on the other side. It all still feels strange to be here but I’m beyond excited and looking forward to the next three days of learning from those that inspire me in my work and to meet so many talented women photographers! An intimate, cozy setting awaits!”
And oh man did it ever!!
The Fount Workshops creative powerhouse team who made all the magic happen was Tiffany Farley, the Founder/editor in chief of The Fount Collective and Motherhood & Family Photographer, Rylee Hitchner, Wedding & Portrait Photographer/teacher, and Abany Bauer Stylist/Art Director, owner of Brown Linen Design, who designed and hand-scripted all the beautiful paper products and gorgeous dinner menus which were the most lovely details and made us feel extra special and pampered in this experience. A huge hug to Matt Bauer, the workshop coordinator (a role I know very well) who kept everything running smoothly and flawlessly! What a incredible team of creatives who lead us through the week of teachings, learning, and growing–it sure was an unforgettable experience.
The Fount Workshop was held at the Serenbe Farms, a short drive from the Atlanta airport and was the most tranquil location which gave us attendees a chance to E X H A L E the biggest deep breath and soak up the natural goodness this peaceful location had to offer! As we all gathered together on our first night, Tiffany graciously greeted and welcomed us to Serenbe, explaining the name of this community was a combination of “serenity” and “be”. This instantly set the tone and gave us permission to slow down the entrepreneurial pace and enjoy this beautiful farmland that surrounded us for the week.
Tiffany shared how the Fount Workshop was ultimately created after seeing a need to offer a workshop for the portrait photographer who celebrated motherhood and wasn’t only a wedding photographer. So she “created her dream and invited us all to attend”. And oh how lucky we are that she did!
It was a meaningful experience from start to finish.
Every workshop detail was delicately personalized and matched the rustic, peaceful heaven with the most exquisite natural textures and neutral colors imaginable that I was giddy over! Let’s just say I came home wanting to re-design our entire house after staying in our gorgeous shared home that felt like it was designed by HGTV!
Upon arrival, we were greeted with the loveliest welcome gifts all tucked inside a beautiful linen Sachetto Bag from Saint Signora, one of the several amazing workshop sponsors. I am pretty obsessed with this bag and have already taken it with me on several shoots! We were also given custom workshop workbooks and a personalized collector’s notebook, just to name a few of the many surprises! Everyone left feeling so cared for and spoiled in this experience!
Each night as we gathered for dinner at The Farmhouse restaurant, handmade dinner menus with personalized hand-scripted place cards from Abany of Brown Linen Design lined the long farm table. The food was delicious and fresh from the Inn’s farm and we sat together enjoying nightly conversations before heading to our sunset sessions!
We fell in love with the hearts of our creative leaders for all they genuinely did to give us an experience of a lifetime. I made so many new beautiful friendships with the other talented photographers, we seriously walked away teary-eyed having to leave each other at the end of the week!
The Fount Workshop fostered a community to share our stories, curated creativity, deepened my vision, inspired me in more ways than one, and allowed us to be present in learning from each other. Not only did I walk away a better version of myself but I felt restored in the work I aspire to create for my families. This workshop came at a perfect time in this transitional period in my life with going full-time and I am grateful for each and every ounce of time and care that went into helping to create so many beautiful memories!
It was THAT good!
