Something I’ve learned while building my photography business is that even the simplest moments or events can have the biggest impact on the path we are intended to lead. That meeting you dragged yourself to, that workshop you almost didn’t invest in, that song you hear that always seems to come on when you need it most to pick you right back up. Simple moments with BIG impact; they are some of my most celebrated markers along the way.
Two years ago today and I still remember the exact words I repeated over and over to Justin in this moment. I was thinking about all the times I told myself I couldn’t and he told me I could. All the times I told myself it wouldn’t and he told me it would.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you”.
These were the only words I could get out of my mouth to convey the appreciation I had for him in that very moment, in the years that came before, for what was to come in the years ahead. He knew the weight I carried, he knew how much I looked forward to sharing in this experience with the talented Tiffany Farley. As we danced in the pouring rain, I beamed with excitement as we celebrated this special marker for us…for me, for my business.
I love reflecting on this date. It was an unforgettable experience marking a beautiful shift, where all the years of hard work leading up was given fresh legs, a shift that opened up new unexpected doors, allowed two photographers who shared in similar visions to connect face-to-face and build a lasting friendship.
Simple moments with BIG impact, oh how special they are to keep us moving forward. Eyes open friends; eyes and hearts wide open to receive all the good stuff.
